Overview

The Swiftflow package described here is containerized as a Docker/Kubernetes1 web server application. It can be deployed on any infrastructure that accepts Kubernetes, which includes multi-cloud2 or hybrid cloud3 contexts.

Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

In addition of the environment-agnostic Kubernetes application, specific requirements have to be satisfied to integrate to GCP4. In particular, the original package has to be extended by a side-car billing engine that enables the usage-based pricing. The below figure shows how the Swiftflow package is integrated in a GCP context. A major feature of this approach is to enable for the regionality of all services, or in other words to avoid for any traffic across data centers and related cross-region transfer of potentially sensitive data.

On-premise / Other clouds

Swiftflow can be deployed on any compatible infrastructure that accepts Kubernetes, like Openshift5, Amazon Web Services (AWS)6, Azure7, Alibaba Cloud8, etc …

Be aware that in those cases, a one-to-one licensing model will have to be defined in place of to the usage-based pricing available on GCP. Additional details relevant to the installation of the Kubernetes cluster can be found here.
